Introducing the "Shearwater".  This beautiful 65' vessel will transport our guests on optional fishing trips, wildlife viewing and hunting adventures .  With a highly qualified ships master and a superb cook, the Shearwater is destined to become a resort in her own way. 

The history of the Shearwater begins in 1942 as a navy supply ship, supporting the Alaskan naval operations during World War ll.  Built to the high standards of the navy, the Shearwater has endured years of service and rough weather. Responding to tourism demand, Bear Paw Lodge has completed a major upgrading of the Shearwater, readying her for resort service.
